The Oblong High School Course Management system has now been used for one school year. We have made many changes based on requests from teachers, students and parents. We have also updated the software this summer and are currently setting up information for the new school year.
The Junior High will begin to implement online grades for students. The first quarter of the school year 2008-09 will be used for training purposes and your student's grade may not be accurate during this training period. The Junior High will be providing usernames and passwords to parents after school begins to allow you time to get used to the system.
Please feel free to contact the teacher if you have any questions or concerns about your student.
A message about grades:
Once a graded assignment is posted any student who has a blank for the grade is computed as a 0 for that assignment. If you or your child feel that there is an error in the average, please check to see that the student has earned points for all assignments. If no points have been earned: (1) make sure your child has submitted the assignment, (2) wait 24 hours after the due date to see if the grade is posted, and (3) send the teacher an email or have your student ask in class to recheck the grade. Generally, alarming averages could be that the grade has not been posted yet.
