Dear OHS Parents and Students:

The Junior Class sponsors are eager to work with parents and students to make the 2018-19 OHS Prom a great experience for each participant.  It will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. at the Oblong Grade School gym. Photography will begin immediately after coronation. In order to make it a complete success, we will need your help on several levels.  Please take a look at some basic rules for this school event

      *  All OCUSD #4 Rules are in effect

      * No alcohol, drugs, or tobacco will be tolerated in or on the premises.

      * No food or drink of any type can be brought in to the venue.

      * No lewd dancing or profanity.

* Each participant may bring only one guest. Guests 21 or older will not be admitted. Guests who are not students of OHS may be asked to present I.D. at the event. Any guest who refuses to provide ID may be turned away.

       * Participants must not use the parking lot at the Catholic Church.

       * Once a student or guest leaves the prom, he or she will not be allowed to re-enter.

Seek a chaperone if you need to go to your car.

       * Gentlemen are required to wear a shirt throughout the event; a vest alone is not sufficient.

In conclusion, we hope that you will discuss the rules with your child and support us in our roles as we do our best to create a safe, enjoyable, and memorable occasion for each participant.

Best Regards,

Juniors who did not meet their quota of magazine sales or donations will have to pay for Prom tickets for themselves and their dates (unless their date is an OHS Senior OR a junior who met their sales quota).  If you are wondering if you owe for tickets please see me or Esther soon.  If you believe that we have made an error please let me know.
Remember that prom tickets are $50.  You received a $10 credit for every magazine that you sold or $10 collected in donations.  For example, if you sold 2 magazines and collected  $15 in donations, you would owe $20. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mr. Hasty
