Our second graders are published authors!Their book is titled “When I Grow up.” To celebrate they had a book publishing party! The students dressed as the occupation they wanted to be when they grow up. They each read their page to the class! Their future is looking bright! ⭐️

Our popsicle fundraiser was a huge success! We raised over $800 for Crawford County Tornado Relief and Lydia's Closet.

On Thursday, Rowan Bailey, Jorie Weber, Maggie Bailey, and Landon Baker placed 3rd in the regional high school Brain Games at Rend Lake College.
JH Track:
The LEIC Conference track meet scheduled for Saturday, April 29 is at Newton, instead of Lawrenceville as stated on the schedule. The meet begins at 10:00 AM.

Students on the second floor have been working on a goal of reading 1,000 books during 4th quarter! They reached the half way point on Friday so they got to silly string Ms. Littlejohn!
OHS FBLA members attended the Illinois FBLA State Leadership Conference on Friday and Saturday. Congratulations to Jorie Weber for competing in Help Desk and placing 9th overall.

The Junior High track meet that was scheduled for today, Friday, April 14 at Altamont is CANCELLED.
OES track members did well at their track meet on Tuesday. For 7th grade girls, Paightyn Jones placed 5th in the 100m dash and 5th in hurdles. Gracie Russel placed 3rd in the 800m dash and Ella placed 5th in the 800m dash.
For 7th grade boys, Jude Wirey placed 2nd in the 100m dash, 3rd in the 200m dash, and 2nd in the long jump. Noah Woodworth placed 5th in the 100m dash and 5th in the 200m dash. Fox Coulter placed 3rd in hurdles.
For 8th grade boys, Cole Littlejohn placed 5th in long jump. Garrett Russel placed 4th in the 100m dash and 5th in the 200m dash and Jaxsen Ping placed 4th in the 400m dash. The 8th grade boys relay team of Garrett Russel, Cole Littlejohn, Noah Woodworth, and Jude Wirey placed 1st in the 4x100m relay.
OHS Computer Concept students sent fan letters out to celebrities, businesses, and other entities just before Easter. This week two students received responses to their letters. Jay Dix received an autograph from University of Nebraska's head volleyball coach and Kaden Miller received merchandise and a letter from Case IH.
